CRIMFit is a strongman and CrossFit-style fitness event run inside correctional facilities across Australia.
Inmates organise and compete in the event themselves, choose the cause, and raise the funds. Certain facilities offer programs that give inmates the opportunity to run initiatives like this - structured around physical fitness, personal accountability, and making a positive contribution to the community while they complete their sentence . In 2023, Macqurie Correctional Centre ran CRIMFit and chose TCF. They raised $20,000. Now Lithgow Correctional Centre is running the event and they’ve chosen TCF again - with their sights set on beating Macquarie’s total. Every dollar raised goes directly to TCF programs.
